CANCELLATION & SUSPENSION OF MERCHANT BANKING REGISTRATION
PRIMARY MARKET DEPARTMENT

Vide order dated 9th September,1998, The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has cancelled the certificate of registration of a Category II Merchant banker - Hoffland Finance Ltd., under Regulation 37 (ii) of the SEBI (Merchant Banker) Rules and Regulations, 1992 for serious violations committed by the merchant banker.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has suspended the certificate of registration of a Category III Merchant banker till the remaining period of their registration i.e till October 31, 1998, for failure in payment of annual registration fees in accordance with Regulations 12(2), 36(1)(i), 36(1)(vii) and 36(1)(viii) of the SEBI (Merchant Banker) Rules and Regulations, 1992.
