Securities and Exchange Board of India has launched criminal prosecution against Shri R. C. Goenka, a member of the Stock Exchnage, Mumbai and Mid East Investment Services Ltd., a member of the OTC Exchange of India for their failure to pay the penalty amounts imposed by the Adjudication Officer appointed by SEBI. SEBI received complaints against the said members of stock exchanges from the investors on basis of which, the adjudication was ordered.
