Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had issued show cause notice to the following companies for their failure to redress investors’ grievances:

3. Dharnendra Industries Ltd., Ahmedabad

4. Dharnendra Overseas Ltd., Ahmedabad

5. Earnest Healthcare Ltd., Indore

6. Enkay Texofood Industries Ltd., Mumbai

7. Goodvalue Marketing Company Ltd., Mumbai

8. Gujarat Suspension Ltd., Panchmahal

9. Indo American Optics Ltd., Ahmedabad

10. Indo Biotech Foods Ltd., Mumbai

11. Indo Biotech Herbal Remedies Ltd., Mumbai

12. Kanel Oil & export Industries Ltd., Ahmedabad

13. Lesha Steels Ltd., Ahmedabad

14. Pan Asia Industries Ltd., Mumbai

As these companies failed to reply to its show-cause notice, SEBI vide its order dated October 14, 2002 has directed them to redress the investors grievances pending against them within a period of one month from the date of the order:
  
If the aforesaid companies fail to comply with the aforesaid directions of SEBI, the following action would be initiated against these companies: 

1. Prosecution under section 621 of the Companies Act 1956 for the alleged Violation of the provisions of section 73 and 113 of the aforesaid act.
2. AIL/its directors would be debarred from dealing in and/or accessing the capital market for a period of 5 years.
