Sub: Surrender of certificate of registration of M/s Zurich Asset Management Company (India) Pvt. Ltd as a portfolio manager

Consequent upon acquiring of Zurich Asset Management Company (India) Pvt. Ltd.(ZAMC) and its business, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd.(HDFC AMC) had informed SEBI that they want to surrender the registration granted to ZAMC as a portfolio manager since HDFC AMC is registered as a portfolio manager with SEBI. HDFC AMC have also given an undertaking that ZAMC will continue to be responsible for any liability which may arise out of the mandates. 
 
SEBI has accepted the request for surrender of certificate of registration of ZAMC as a portfolio manager. Consequently, ZAMC ceases to exist as a portfolio manager w.e.f. September 5, 2003.
