Order against Shri Ramrakh R. Bohra, Member, BSE, in the matter of
M/s. AKL Soft and Infosys Ltd.
Dr. T.C.Nair, Whole Time Member, SEBI, has passed an order dated August 23, 2007 suspending the Certificate of Registration of Shri Ramrakh R.Bohra, Member of Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. (BSE) in the matter of M/s. AKL Soft and Infosys Ltd., for a period of one month. It was observed that the broker had aided and abetted its client in manipulation of price and volume of the scrip. Thus, the broker had violated provisions of regulation 4(b), (c) & (d) of SEBI (Prohibition of Fraudulent and Unfair Trade Practices relating to Securities Market) Regulations, 1995 read with clause A(2) of the Code of Conduct for stock brokers prescribed in Schedule II of SEBI (Stock Brokers and Sub-brokers) Regulations, 1992.
The order would come in force after the period of three weeks from the date of the order.
