Order against M/s. S.Jhunjhunwala & Co., Member, CSE
Dr. K.M. Abraham, Whole Time Member, SEBI, has passed an order dated December 29, 2009, imposing a penalty of suspension of the certificate of registration of M/s. S. Jhunjhunwala & Co., Member, Calcutta Stock Exchange Ltd., for a period of one month in respect of its dealings in the shares of M/s. S.T. Services Ltd. In view of the period of prohibition already undergone by the broker in terms of orders dated September 29, 2005 and January 12, 2006 in respect of its dealings in the shares of S.T. Services Ltd., the aforesaid stock broker would be deemed to have undergone the penalty.
